Inspired by my own experiences, I wanted to make the job search less stressful, more effective, and, dare I say, almost enjoyable. What is it? It is a stylish, portable job search planner-organizer for all those dreaming of a new job (or know someone who is). It gets you started and keeps you going forward, while managing all the details in one place. Checklists, templates, trackers, hints and more!
Ironically, launch mode feels a lot like a job search. We have been knocking on doors and retailer enthusiasm has been great! But, as far as we have come in taking a glimmer of an idea to a product sitting on shelves in stores, we know roll-out is where the real work begins. Thank goodness there is laughter to be found every step of the way.
One recent story involves a store owner who said "thank you, but no thank you" to carrying jobgenda in his fabulous store. And, not five seconds later, calling my name as I walked down the block to the next store (there's no stopping my mission). I walked back to hear him say "Of course, I think these will do great in my shop, just in time for graduation."
I was thankful for the opportunity. I know the day will come when someone says 'no' and means it, but experiences like these should help me when it does. I hope you have a memorable moment to help you along your job search journey when there is a disappointing day, but first you have to put yourself out there.
